Thomas Partey joins Al Shabab on free transfer

Ghana midfielder Thomas Partey has completed a move to Saudi Pro League side Al Shabab on a free transfer.

The 33-year-old midfielder travelled to Saudi Arabia on Thursday to finalise the move after reaching an agreement with the club.

Partey joins Al Shabab following his departure from Spanish side Villarreal, bringing his experience at the highest level of European football to the Saudi Pro League.

The former Arsenal and Atlético Madrid midfielder has signed a one-year contract with Al Shabab, which will keep him at the club until 2027.

The move represents a new chapter in Partey’s career as he looks to continue his professional journey in Saudi Arabia.

Partey, who has been a key figure for the Ghana national team for several years, is expected to bring his leadership, physical presence and experience to the Al Shabab midfield.

His arrival also adds another experienced international player to the growing number of established footballers competing in the Saudi Pro League.

The Ghanaian will now begin preparations with his new club ahead of the upcoming Saudi Pro League campaign.
