Based in Accra, the publication provides useful, lasting information, business journalism, company and industry profiles, politics, economic analysis, technology, health, sports, culture, entertainment and stories that help readers understand the issues shaping society and the economy.

Our aim is simple: to inform, explain and provide useful context.

We believe journalism should go beyond reporting what happened. It should also help readers understand why it matters, who is affected, what the wider implications are and what may happen next.

Our History

The name The Accra Daily Mail has a place in Ghana’s newspaper history.

The original Accra Daily Mail was established in 1998 as a privately owned English-language daily newspaper based in Accra. The publication became part of Ghana’s newspaper landscape during a period of significant growth in private media.

In January 2009, the newspaper suspended its daily publication following financial difficulties. In April 2009, it was relaunched under the name The Mail, with its frequency changed to a biweekly publication. Contemporary reports at the time described the relaunch as a collaboration involving Doodle Publishers Limited and Western Publications Limited.

The historical Accra Daily Mail and The Mail belong to an earlier chapter of Ghana’s print-media history.

A New Digital Chapter

The Accra Daily Mail today is a new digital publication built for a new generation of readers.

The current publication is not presented as a continuation of the former print operation. Rather, it carries forward the Accra Daily Mail name and its place in Ghana’s media history while building a new digital guide room and editorial platform for today’s audience, published by SamBoad Publishing under SamBoad Business Group Ltd

The digital publication was established to provide accessible, relevant and useful journalism at a time when more Ghanaians consume news through websites, search engines, social platforms and mobile devices.

Our mail-room combines daily guide coverage with explainers, analysis, interviews, company profiles, industry coverage and stories that provide context.

What We Cover

The Accra Daily Mail covers a broad range of subjects, including:

We also place particular emphasis on understanding Ghana’s business environment and the companies, institutions and sectors contributing to the country’s development.

Our Editorial Approach

We are committed to responsible and transparent journalism.

The Accra Daily Mail seeks to verify information before publication and distinguish clearly between reported facts, statements made by individuals or organizations, opinion and analysis.

Where a story is developing or information cannot yet be independently confirmed, we aim to make that clear to our readers.

We also recognise that mistakes can occur in journalism. Where a genuine error is identified, we believe it should be corrected transparently.

Our mail-room values accuracy, fairness, context, independence and accountability.

Our Editor-in-Chief

Samuel Kwame Boadu is the Editor-in-Chief of The Accra Daily Mail.

He leads the publication’s editorial direction, digital strategy and development as the organisation builds a modern Ghanaian guide platform focused on journalism, business intelligence, company profiles and useful information.

Under his editorial leadership, The Accra Daily Mail aims to develop into a publication that combines the immediacy of digital journalism with the depth and context traditionally associated with serious newspaper publishing.

Our Vision

Our vision is to build The Accra Daily Mail into one of Ghana’s trusted useful and lasting information publications.

We want to become a publication that readers can turn to not only for breaking news, but also for understanding Ghana’s businesses, industries, institutions, economy and society.

We are particularly interested in journalism that creates a permanent information record — stories, profiles, explainers and analysis that remain useful long after the day’s headline has disappeared from the news cycle.

Looking Ahead

The future of The Accra Daily Mail is digital.

As the publication grows, we intend to expand our original reporting, business journalism, company profiles, interviews, explainers, data-led stories, industry coverage and investigative work.

We will continue building a mail-room designed for readers who want guides quickly, but also want to understand the bigger picture.

The historic Accra Daily Mail was part of an earlier era of Ghanaian newspaper publishing.

The Accra Daily Mail today begins a new chapter.

The name has a history. The mail-room has a future.
