Young Lions Colts Club of Sagnarigu Municipal have been crowned champions of the Northern Regional Football Association (NRFA) Boys U-17 Championship for the 2025/26 football season after an outstanding campaign that showcased their talent, determination, and teamwork.
The newly crowned champions were rewarded with a giant trophy, 30 gold medals, and a cash prize of GH¢2,000 in recognition of their remarkable achievement.
Pong-Tamale Gbewaa FC finished as first runners-up and received GH¢1,000, while Kumbungu City FC and Tamale Vision FC secured third and fourth places respectively, each earning GH¢500 for their efforts in the competition.

The championship also recognized individual excellence, with four outstanding players receiving miniature trophies and GH¢100 each for their exceptional performances throughout the tournament.
The successful competition once again highlighted the abundance of young football talent in the Northern Region and provided a valuable platform for the development of future stars. The achievements of Young Lions Colts and the other participating clubs underscore the growing strength of grassroots football in the region and offer hope for the future of Ghana football.
