Asante Kotoko SC defender Ismail Abdul Ganiyu had extended his stay with the club for further two years, the Porcupine Warriors have announced.
Ganiyu contract with the club has ended some few months ago but after fruitful discussions, the center back has penned a new deal.
The 25-year old defender joined Asante Kotoko in 2018 from Karela United FC.
The versatile footballer was arguably Kotoko’s best player last season netting five goals as a centre-back and also earned a call up into the Black Stars where he made his debut against South Africa in Johannesburg in the AFCON qualifiers.
He has made 33 appearances for the Reds last season, scoring five goals in a process.
