Presidential Adviser Joyce Bawah Mogtari has paid glowing tribute to renowned communications strategist Esther Cobbah, founder of StratCom Africa and the Ghana Garden and Flower Show, for her outstanding contribution to promoting environmental sustainability and national development in Ghana.
In a post shared on her official social media platforms, Bawah Mogtari highlighted the importance of what she described as “softer strategic innovations”—initiatives that encourage sustainable land use, environmental conservation, and the cultivation of crops, medicinal plants, flowers, and trees for both economic and ecological benefits.
She observed that these often-overlooked innovations play a vital role in transforming communities by creating jobs, improving public health, boosting tourism, strengthening climate resilience, and supporting economic growth.
“Today, permit me to eulogise the creativity of Madam Esther Cobbah, founder of StratCom Africa and the Ghana Garden and Flower Show. Sometimes, we forget about the softer strategic innovations that shape our development,” Joyce Bawah Mogtari wrote.
She further stressed that Ghana’s green spaces are more than attractive landscapes, describing them as powerful drivers of economic development and social well-being.
“Our green spaces are more than beautiful landscapes; they are also engines of economic development and growth, job creation, tourism, climate resilience, and healthier communities. Investing in horticulture, floriculture, and sustainable environmental practices is an investment in Ghana’s future,” she added.
The Presidential Adviser also commended the Ghana Garden and Flower Movement together with StratCom Africa for their 14 years of commitment to promoting a greener, cleaner, healthier, wealthier, and more beautiful Ghana.
She urged Ghanaians to continue supporting initiatives that protect the environment while creating economic opportunities, emphasizing that environmental stewardship and economic transformation must go hand in hand to ensure sustainable national development.
