The Chief Executive Officer of Korle Bu Teaching Hospital, Dr. Yakubu Seidu Adam, led a high-powered delegation from the Central Management Team on a courtesy visit to the Ghana Investment Fund for Electronic Communications (GIFEC).
The visit aimed at strengthening partnerships and fostering collaboration to support digital transformation within the health sector.
Dr. Adam highlighted Korle Bu’s status as Ghana’s premier teaching hospital, with a workforce of over 7,000 and a 2,000-bed capacity. He noted that the hospital is renowned for managing complex medical conditions, providing specialized training, and nurturing top-tier healthcare professionals, all in a bid to advance healthcare delivery in Ghana and across the West African sub-region.
He commended the Administrator of GIFEC, Mr. Sofo Abdul Rashid Computer, and his team for the warm reception and reaffirmed Korle Bu’s commitment to delivering world-class, seamless healthcare. He stressed that this vision cannot be achieved without the support and collaboration of strategic partners like GIFEC.
In his remarks, Mr. Sofo Abdul Rashid Computer emphasized GIFEC’s dedication to bridging the digital divide across unserved, underserved, and served communities in Ghana. He reiterated the agency’s commitment to supporting the health sector by enhancing digital infrastructure, noting that GIFEC envisions a future where digital technology significantly improves healthcare and education outcomes nationwide.
