Diminutive attacker Maxwell Baakoh is likely to stay at Asante Kotoko despite growing reports of his imminent departure from the club.

According to multiple reports and the player’s manager, the former Karela United player was offered a contract renewal by his current employers but deem it below his standards which has fueled reports of his exit with his contract running out soon.
However according to the latest report filed by Kumasi-based media outlet OTEC FM, Baakoh who is affectionately called Messi due to his stature and sweet left foot is likely to stay at Asante Kotoko after crucial talks with the coaching staff.
Head coach Maxwell Konadu made Baakoh understand he will be very important to the team and will be counting on him in the upcoming season.
