Ghana Premier League club Berekum Chelsea FC has completed the signing of 25-year-old stalwart defender Michael Foli for the next two seasons on a free transfer and has immediately been handed the number 26 jersey for this season.
The former Medeama SC defender terminated his contract with Zimbabwean Premier League side Bulawayo Chiefs FC after a short stint at the club earlier this year.
Berekum Chelsea will look to Michael Foli’s capture to fill in the void created at the club after the departure of their workaholic defender Zakaria Fuseini who has joined Spanish Segunda B campaigners CD San Fernando on a season long loan.
Foli, who has rich experience playing in the Ghana Premier League for Bechem United, Medeama SC, Great Olympics will have all to play for marshaling and leading the defense for the Bibiries in the 2020/2021 football season.
The one-time Champions of the Ghanaian top flight will square off against ‘money bags’ Legon Cities, who have bolstered their squad with legendary striker Asamoah Gyan and whiz-kid Mathew Anim Cudjoe, on Saturday evening.
