I am profoundly grateful to His Excellency President John Dramani Mahama for the confidence he has reposed in me and for the opportunity to continue serving the people of Ghana.
Before my appointment as Minister for Defence, I had the privilege of serving as Minister for Works, Housing and Water Resources, where I worked with dedicated professionals to advance the government’s agenda in housing, water and infrastructure development. Prior to that, I also served as Deputy Minister for Defence, an experience that gave me valuable insight into Ghana’s security architecture and strengthened my commitment to national service.
My tenure at the Ministry of Works, Housing and Water Resources has been a journey of service, learning, collaboration and an unwavering commitment to delivering on the mandate entrusted to us. I extend my heartfelt appreciation to the dedicated staff of the Ministry for their professionalism, hard work and steadfast support. The progress and achievements we recorded together would not have been possible without your commitment and sacrifice.
As I return to the Ministry of Defence, this time as Minister, I do so with humility, renewed energy and a deep sense of duty. Drawing on my previous experience as Deputy Minister for Defence, I am optimistic about the road ahead and look forward to working with the officers, men and women of the Ghana Armed Forces and all stakeholders to build a stronger, safer and more secure Ghana.
To the people of Ghana, thank you for your continued support, goodwill and prayers. Your encouragement remains a constant source of strength as we continue to serve our beloved nation.
The work continues. Let us keep our sleeves rolled up, remain focused and work even harder to deliver for Ghana. I call on all stakeholders to come on board as we embrace this new chapter of service together.
For Ghana. For Service. For Progress.
Hon. Kenneth Gilbert Adjei
