Dr. Kofi Addo-Agyekum is one of Ghana’s most accomplished pharmaceutical entrepreneurs and healthcare leaders, serving as the Vice President of the Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Association of Ghana (PMAG).
He is also the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Kofikrom Pharmacy Limited, a leading indigenous pharmaceutical company committed to producing and distributing quality, affordable medicines across Ghana.
His election as Vice President places him among the key leaders responsible for shaping policies and advancing the interests of Ghana’s pharmaceutical manufacturing industry. Working alongside the PMAG governing body, Dr. Addo-Agyekum is expected to play a pivotal role in promoting local pharmaceutical production, improving access to quality healthcare products, and strengthening the sector’s contribution to the country’s economy.
Beyond the pharmaceutical industry, Dr. Addo-Agyekum is widely recognised for his outstanding contributions to sports administration. As President of the Ghana Armwrestling Federation, he has overseen the remarkable growth of the sport, helping Ghana achieve continental and international success while inspiring young athletes to pursue excellence.
His dedication to business, healthcare, and sports has earned him several prestigious honours over the years. Among his notable awards are the Presidential Honour for Distinguished Service, Outstanding Pharmaceutical Entrepreneur of the Year, CEO of the Year (Pharmaceutical), Outstanding Entrepreneur of the Year, the Visionary Leadership Award, and the Most Influential Pharmaceutical Entrepreneur of the Decade.
He has also received special recognition from the Sports Writers Association of Ghana (SWAG) for his immense contribution to sports development.
The current PMAG governing body is led by President Elder Dr. Samuel Amo Tobbin, Chief Executive Officer of the Tobinco Group of Companies.
