Minister for Energy and Green Transition Inaugurates PHDC Board

The Minister for Energy and Green Transition, Hon. John Abdulai Jinapor, has officially inaugurated the Board of Petroleum Hub Development Corporation (PHDC). This significant milestone underscores the government’s commitment to establishing a robust and competitive petroleum hub that will drive economic growth for Ghana and the sub-region.

During the inauguration, Hon. Jinapor charged the Board to adopt a bold and proactive approach in attracting strategic investments across the entire energy value chain. He emphasized that PHDC must play a catalytic role in unlocking opportunities in storage, refining, transportation, and supporting infrastructure.

Ghana’s strategic location makes it an energy hub for the sub-region, with power and petroleum products distribution flowing through the country to neighboring states. The PHDC’s work will further leverage this advantage to drive sustained economic growth.
