The Cardiothoracic Team at the University of Ghana Medical Centre ( UGMC), in collaboration with global non-profit CardioStart International, has successfully completed five days of intensive, life-saving adult heart surgeries.
The joint medical mission, which ran from June 16 to June 20, 2025, saw the team perform a series of complex procedures aimed at giving critically ill patients a new lease of life.
The initiative highlights the remarkable impact of teamwork, medical expertise, and international collaboration in advancing healthcare in Ghana.
