Criminal Investigations Department (CID) Boss Lydia Yaako Donkor has been honoured at the Ghana Female CEOs Summit & Ghana Women of the Year Honours 2026 for Excellence in Public Service, in recognition of her dedication and outstanding contribution to national security and justice delivery in Ghana.
The award celebrates years of service, sacrifice, discipline, and commitment by the Criminal Investigations Department chief, whose leadership has played a significant role in strengthening professionalism within the Ghana Police Service.

Speaking after receiving the honour, Lydia Donkor dedicated the award to the hardworking men and women of the Ghana Police Service and the Criminal Investigations Department, praising their courage, resilience, and commitment to serving the nation.
She noted that the recognition is not only a personal achievement but also a reflection of the collective efforts of officers who continue to work tirelessly to ensure law and order across the country.

The CID boss also used the opportunity to inspire young people, encouraging them to remain focused on their dreams and aspirations.
“To every young person with a dream, let this remind you that leadership is possible. Keep working. Keep believing. Keep showing up. Your journey matters,” she stated.

Her recognition at the summit further highlights the growing impact of women in leadership and public service roles in Ghana.
