The The Chamba community erupted in joy on Saturday, November 22, 2025, as the women of Bibwesele gathered at the traditional palace to congratulate the newly installed National Sadauna (Kumadan) of Chamba, Alhaji Hudu Malo.
Led by Hajia Malama Alima Blacky, the Dipkari Bwese, the women’s group extended heartfelt congratulations to the new chief, praising his dedication to the Chamba fraternity.
Hajia Malama Alima Blacky, who played a pivotal role in orchestrating the installation, expressed her delight, saying she was “over the moon” and urged the new chief to “hold onto the good works he has been doing and not let anything divert his attention, because that would make us sad.”

The Dipkari Bwese added, “We, the women of Chamba, stand together with our chief. This moment is a testament to the unity and love we share for our people.”
Hajia Ramatu, the Ubwese Ukpe of Chamba, expressed joy that “what we have been yearning for has finally come to pass—Alhaji Malo taking his rightful place in the chieftaincy.”
Hajia Rabi Bimbila, the Chamba Ubwese of Bimbila, sent a message of jubilation, saying, “She and all the women are thrilled by this remarkable milestone. We celebrate not just a new title, but a continuation of the vision that our ancestors set for us.”
The women’s chorus of congratulations underscores a broader sense of ownership and pride within the Chamba ethnic group. From Oti to Nanumba and Accra, members of the community have been rallying to support the new Sadauna, hoping his leadership will further strengthen the cultural heritage and development of Chamba for generations to come.
